20 years later, Floating-Point still remains focused and determined on developing solutions that change the game for their clients.
Floating-Point was formed by 4 partners who each had unique talents and influences to bring to the organization. Expert skills ranging from design, to code, to marketing, were all combined to blend the newly formed company into a tightly integrated group of focused professionals.
The initial thrust of the company revolved around the software needs of notable companies like Bombardier, Department of National Defence, Nortel and Meridian to name a few.
As time marched on, the internet became a force that could not be ignored and the software landscape started to decline in favour of web applications and brochure-ware website development. As Floating-Point shifted focus and moved into this new arena, the solid roots of the company took hold, shaping it into what it is today. A focused, creative agency, bent towards large scale website development.
Floating-Point has literally produced over a thousand websites and many different brands and notable print campaigns. Clients including Viceroy Homes, The Stop, Family Service Toronto, Veridian, L-3 Wescam, ABC Group, Smith + Andersen, Alzheimer Society of Canada, Durham CAS, Dignitas International and many, many others have helped pave the path to success for Floating-Point.

Clair Kimmett, one of 2 principals who currently own and manages Floating-Point, focuses his skills on sales and marketing specifically. He has hands-on experience working with clients in a strategist role assisting them with their marketing, sales tactics and other business development activities. His experience encompasses a wide cross-section of industries from manufacturers and healthcare agencies through to public sector and not-for-profit organizations.
Gabe Boisvert, the other managing partner in the firm, has been the Project Lead for all large-scale client projects for over a decade. Gabe works directly with Floating-Point’s clients to ensure each milestone progresses to completion. Gabe champions his passion for technology to his clients for the express purpose of educating them on how new technology can improve their workflow and directly affect their ability to help their organization succeed.
Floating-Point has developed award-winning websites throughout Ontario, Canada and in the United States and has worked to forge many important relationships in a diverse arrangement of sectors including Government, Utility, Healthcare, Finance and the Not-For-Profit arenas (to name a few).
